About the Opportunity:
Our client is a busy, progressive and fully accredited healthcare facility offering specialized programs in cardiology, vascular, stroke and diabetes care to a large geographic region. They are looking for dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologists to join their team in a collaborative and patient-focused environment.
Position Details:
Job Type: Permanent Full-Time, Part-Time & Casual
Pay: Starting at $38/hour
Schedule: 8-hour shifts | Day shifts | Monday to Friday
Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Work Setting: In-person

Key Responsibilities:
- Safely handle and administer radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with CNSC guidelines.
- Perform angiocath insertion and intravenous injections.
- Prepare and assist patients for Gamma Camera procedures.
- Collaborate with the stress team to perform nuclear cardiology testing, including exercise and pharmacological stress testing.
- Prepare and assist patients undergoing resting MUGA studies.
- Perform ECG gating.
- Use radiation monitoring equipment and perform contamination monitoring and decontamination as required.
- Maintain accurate patient and procedure records.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety protocols and applicable regulations.
- Educate patients about procedures and address their questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
- Opportunity to serve as an alternate Radiation Safety Officer (RSO).
Qualifications:
- Current registration in good standing with CMRITO as an MRT(N).
- Current membership in good standing with CAMRT
- Strong knowledge of nuclear medicine and nuclear cardiology procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Current BLS/CPR certification.
